Foreign exchange service to Ben Gurion Airport

A new, efficient and economical solution for Israeli travelers flying to “exotic” countries around the world.
Together with Bank Hapoalim branches at Ben-Gurion International Airport, we operate a service that enables passengers to order in advance the local currency of the country they are traveling to.
As a GMT customer, you can enjoy competitive exchange rates, reserve the currency in advance and collect it just before boarding. The solution is available for the local currency of 32 countries, among them; Japan, China, Hungary, Thailand, Russia, the CIS, and many others.
All you have to do is book a flight ticket and Bon Voyage!

The process
Here’re some technical details:
Arrive at the GMT branch.
If you are flying to any of the 32 countries, whose currency is not a Dollar or Euro, you can receive a service; you will pay in NIS at the branch, indicating the date of the flight.
On the day of the flight, you will collect the currency at the duty-free bank Hapoalim counter (after passport control) and… that’s it. Easy, simple and fast.
What are the benefits?
Unlike bank service, there are no queues, the working hours are convenient. We have over 250 branches all over Israel and no unnecessary fees. There is a conversion fee, and that’s all. In other words, there is no clerk commission, and there is no double conversion (NIS to Dollar / Dollar in the local currency).
You can pay in cash. You do not have to withdraw thousands of dollars before you travel, change and move around for a long time with a large amount in your pocket, but to accept everything just before you board your flight.
Save time and money abroad – there is no need to start looking for exchange store accepting NIS, or looking for the best fee for converting Euros or Dollars and pay high commissions, but start enjoying!
